If you filed your federal return as MFJ, be sure you followed these instructions when you did your state returns:
How do I prepare a joint federal return and separate state returns? (intuit.com)
Filed both federal and CA as married filing separately. The online program added my wife’s SSN to the federal, but left it off the CA. These were e-filed at the exact same time.
