California state tax problem

TurboTax filed my CA state tax without my wife’s social security number, even though they used it on my federal. Now CA is disallowing my married filing separately status and community property corrections. TurboTax still shows the ssn in their info, but can’t get it onto my state form.

Print the state form; handwrite your wife's SSN on it; sign it; and fax or mail it to CA.

If you filed your federal return as MFJ, be sure you followed these instructions when you did your state returns:

How do I prepare a joint federal return and separate state returns? (intuit.com)

Filed both federal and CA as married filing separately. The online program added my wife’s SSN to the federal, but left it off the CA. These were e-filed at the exact same time.
