How about if TurboTax "rejects" those that are still Pending, and then we have the opportunity to "refile our e-file" ?? Asks the rep is this is an option ? But I don't understand that if the Federal was accepted, there shouldn't be any reason why the California hasn't been sent to Calif.
The guy on the phone is so honest but he has no pull, he agrees this is a turbotax problem but there is nothing he can do but to elevate it to his manager who probably has no way to fix this.
Can the Turbotax rep see that there are hundreds of California's still Pending ???
Are you waiting then to speak to a higher-level person now ?? Because if you hang up, then you'll have to explain it from scratch all over again
I pulled this from another thread - there are multiple threads about this issue! The below is from someone else so I can't answer anything about it; just thought I would pass on
"OK, I just got off the phone with Calif Franchise Tax Board (FTB) after nearly a 2-hour wait on hold. The FTB rep said she did NOT see my California return in their system. She said she's getting lots of calls from TurboTax customers. I then asked her what are my options? I asked her whether I can print a hard copy of my California return and mail it to Franchise Tax Board? She said, yes of course I can mail a hard copy. I then asked her, What happens if the FTB receives the hard copy, then the FTB receives the e-filed one? She said not to worry, if they receive a duplicate, they'll simply process one and not the other. She said that once the FTB receives the hard copy, an employee simply "scans" it into their system. But she assured me that only ONE copy (either hard copy or the e-filed copy, whichever they receive first) will be processed. I told her that I may wait 2 or 3 weeks more to see if my e-filed return is processed. ALSO (and this is VERY important), I asked her does California FTB "pull" our returns from the Turbotax servers? And she said NO, they do NOT. Turbotax "pushes" (sends) them to the agencies (whether it is the IRS or the states). So these TurboTax experts on here are NOT telling us the true story. No, the buck stops with him, he is going to elevate this to his manager. The guy is truly a nice guy but has no power. The support people he is communicating are telling him it is filed but when i checked the CA gov site it does not show anything is received so the support he is communicating with is just trying to end the conversation and does not want to help clearly.
Horrible customer support. Guess I'm not buying Turbtax next year along with thousands others.
How did the rep know that YOUR return is filed. Did you have to give him your soc sec #?

We haven't confirmed if there's an e-filing error between CA and TurboTax. If I learn more, I'll update this thread.

To GabiU -- Can you PLEASE get answers from the TurboTax CEO ? This is causing havoc for thousands of Californians who efiled prior to Feb 12 and our software status still says PENDING !
Hb888 -- Are you still on the phone with Turbotax rep?
With all the comments on here about Californians having issues with Pending returns on TurboTax, there clearly is a problem and it needs to be resolved now.
