California part time resident or nonresident

I lived in California for 45 days, made $2700, then moved to New York 02/15. On turbotax, it says I am a nonresident. But am I not a part-time resident?

California part time resident or nonresident

If you only lived there 45 days, you most likely did not establish domicile there.  To establish domicile you have to take steps to affirmatively abandon your old domicile and the intention of moving to your new state permanently.  This includes bank accounts, driver license, voter registration, etc,
