I started the filing process of my return and on my California State return, it told me I need to put my address into the "File a Return" section. It continues to cycle after asking me the questions, it tells me again that "we need a little more information before you e-file."
Is there a fix for this? Why is this happening?
Another clarifying piece: this address should be my current address correct"

I am having what I think is the same problem and it is preventing me from transmitting my returns. If I look at the California Information Worksheet I see an error, "California Information Worksheet: Street Address should not be entered directly on the California Information Worksheet for electronic filing. You must complete the Federal Information Worksheet." (The Federal Information Worksheet is completed.) If I remove the street address I get another error, "California Information Worksheet: Street Address must be entered."
I am using TurboTax Deluxe for Mac.
With help from TurboTax phone support I was able to transmit my returns. YMMV but the steps that worked were:
1. Edit street address section of Personal Info. No changes were made, but I selected Edit and then saved the non-changes.
2. Save file
3. Close TT
4. Open it again
5. Transmit returns
The same problem is happening to me, which is driving me crazy. My Federal return went OK. Where can I get help to fix this stupidity?
I am having the same problem. How could you solve this annoying problem? Had to file by printing?
When I tried this method, TT will not take me back to my basic personal information. It will not go further back from "What do you do for a living?" I am stuck there. What is TT's phone support number you used?
The phone number is found at https://support.turbotax.intuit.com/contact/
I am having the same problem. Edit is not working. Please help.

To resolve, follow these steps:
Thank you for the info. I called the number to get a tech. But he could not help to solve this problem. I asked for a more advanced tech but his final word to me was to Start All Over Again. How disappointing!
I was able to get past this problem by doing the following:
At that point, I was able to e-file successfully.
Hi sorry for not checking this sooner. The only way I was able to figure this out was to hop on support. At the end of the day they mostly had me delete my CA tax return and I redid the info and after that it worked fine. I hope this solves some of everyone’s issues.
It worked! Thank you so much to dbtucker65! Thanks to all who tried to help me out of this crazy predicament. You saved my day and night. You should be replacing those incompetent "techs" who can't help the customers properly. (During the deleting process, my First Name stubbornly remained uncorrected for a while.)
And to TurboTax, I want to say they should fix this looping problem immediately.
I'm putting a reply to this because this issue is still happening in Feb 2024. After about 45 minutes on the phone with tech support we finally resolved it by:
Delete and clear out any value in the field at the top (not on the form itself) where it asks you to "check" the value. Do not put in a new value, click continue. Do this for any other screens that pop up asking you to confirm information on the worksheet.
It should then tell you the item is fixed and accepted
