Dependent child is filing California 540NR since only a part-time CA resident. Moved away in Q4. Under CA state return, section called "Child with Investment Income", it asks for Parent's total taxable income from 540 line 19. That's fine. Parents are CA residents.
Next screen called "Nonresident Income for Certain Children with Investment Income" asks me to enter revisions to 6 pieces of Parent's non-resident income from CA 540NR. However, parents do not have a 540NR, since they filed a resident 540.
Should I leave all these fields blank or is that screen even intended to be there?

As a follow-up, I guess I can't leave the fields blank because that results in CA Form 3800 getting errors and requesting the info to be filled in.
Please see the instructions for Form 3800 in the following link.
Since the parents did not file Form 540NR, but filed a Form 540 instead, I recommend using the line items that most closely match the items on the 540NR. For example, if the 3800 is asking for the parent's taxable income, look for the line item on Form 540 for this amount. The forms are similar. They only differ in that one reports the activity for a resident while the other reports the activity for a part-year or nonresident.
I have attached links to the blank 540 and 540NR to assist you in matching the appropriate lines up. The instructions above also break this information out.
