As many others have done, I'm using this forum to report a bug (Intuit, WAKE UP & allow bug reporting). NC had a couple forms not approved until last week, so my mostly-complete return showed 2 errors (red !'s). Also, my NC-40 forms (estimated next-year tax vouchers) were watermarked DO NOT FILE. I assumed these were related. The updated forms came, after updating TT the red ! were gone, yea. But NC-40s were still bad. Deleted & regenerated, reboot TT, rebooted my PC, all to no avail - and this prevents me from printing my good forms for filing! My hack fix is to print each individual form I need for filing from the Forms view & file by mail. The NC-40 vouchers I had to load in M/S Paint & erase the watermarks by hand a few pixels at a time (huge pain). Maybe TT support will see this. Or maybe I'll go Kiplingers & Intuit can go screw.

The estimated payment vouchers do not get e-filed with your return. They are for you to print and send in with your estimated payments this year. They are scheduled to be finalized on 2/17. You should be able to e-file now and you will be able to print the vouchers properly (without making any modifications) once they are finalized. That link has a list of all forms for NC and the tentative availability dates.

E-filing isn't supposed to be available until 24 February or later.
NC has already said they won't start processing until 28 Feb or later..
Thanks for the response, your answer sounds good. I will try regenetating the NC-40 forms after 2/17 (after updating again) when I get back on my computer (busy with some home repairs now).
