CRP processing at the state level has changed and your landlord had new requirements. Check:
See Renter’s Property Tax Refund.
I did receive a good CRP from my landlord and have entered the information into TurrboTax. My question is whether this information will be electronically filed with my MN tax return. When reviewing the return, the CRPs I entered were not included as evidence for the credit. MN requires this information.
The M1RENT schedule has replaced the M1PR. Starting with your 2024 taxes, if you are a renter, you can claim the Renter's Credit as part of your Minnesota Individual Income Tax return (Form M1). You will no longer file a Renter's Property Tax Refund return (Form M1PR). All of the necessary information, see Claim the Credit from the MN Department of Revenue, is included with your electronically filed MN tax return (M1).
