My 2019 Federal return was accepted but once completed the New York State return informed me that there was an error: I would have to file for my $4.00 return to be paid by check. New York State ONLY accepts returns to be paid via direct deposit.

Thanks to "Andre's" persistence I was able to solve the issue I was having to get my NY state return accepted.
However I would like to report that the female rep I spoke to the day before talking to Andre gave me incorrect information which, if I had followed through with it, would have caused me undo hardship.
I spoke with the rep regarding my failure to get my NY state return accepted. She informed me that NY state had failed to provide a form the system was requiring and (contrary to all of the instructions) I should just send in a hard copy of my return to NY state.
I printed out my return as instructed but could not find an address to send it to in New York. I then called Turbo Tax again, was connected to Andre, explained to him about my conversation with the first rep and asked for the address to send my return to.
Andre informed me that he had not heard of such a glitch, reviewed my NY state return and through perseverance was able to delete a few forms and made it possible for me to e-file my return.
I can't imagine what hardships I would have faced if I had mailed my return in because of the incorrect information provided to me by the first rep.
Thank you Turbo Tax for providing this service as it has proven invaluable to my household (2 retired seniors) these last few years. Hopefully this feed back will allow you to weed out reps who are not proficient at their jobs...
