To be eligible you need to be a U.S. citizen or U.S. resident alien in 2020 and have a Social Security number that is valid for employment.
You cannot be claimed as a dependent by someone else to be eligible.

If you didn't claim the Recovery Recover Credit and didn't get the stimulus payments but qualify then you will have to file an amended return 1040X. Please see FAQ How to amend a tax return for instructions.

I just received my federal return but before I even received the funds I had already amended to fix some things but it will not let me until March 25! What’s going on here ?
It's important to the IRS that returns are fully processed before they receive an amendment. It's normal for the amended forms to be available later in the tax season and this year the IRS started the season much later than normal. The good news is that it can be e-filed so it's worth the wait. If an amended return is mailed the IRS states that you must expect a wait as long as 16 weeks.
