Why am I being given an excess contribution of $192 on an HSA account if I don't have any excess contribution? How can I speak to a live person about this?

A tax question is asking if I want to withdraw money from my HSA account, stating that I have an excess contribution of $192 with 6% extra tax. It's asking me to withdraw the amount. When I spoke to my HSA admin, they said that I need to speak to a live person because I don't have any excess contribution since I didn't have the HSA for a full year. Who can I speak to directly regarding this situation?

The annual HSA contribution limit if based on the number of months you had HDHP coverage ( not how long you had the HSA).

If you has Self-only coverage, your limit if $4,150 times the number of months divided by 12, If you had Family coverage, then you and your spouse share the limit of $8,300 times 4 divided by 12.

NOTE, IF you had HDHP coverage on Dec 1, 2024, then TurboTax will assume that you can use the annual limits of $4,150 $8,300 respectively no matter how fe wmonths you were covered.

You can give us the number of months you had coverage, what kind of HDHP coverage you had, whether or not you are 55+, and if you were covered by an HDHP policy on December 1, 2024. Also tell us how much was contributed. We'll get back to you what your excess is, if any.
