Where on W-2 is the employer ID for Social security?

You do not get a W-2 for Social Security. You get a SSA1099, and there is no payer ID or employer ID on it. If you are trying to enter it with one, you are entering it in the wrong place.

Go to Federal> Wages & Income>>Retirement Plans and Social Security (SSA1099 and 1099RRB) to enter your SSA1099.
