Where do i enter SSA-1042S benefit?

If you are a nonresident, you should be filing a nonresident US tax return.

TurboTax does not support nonresident returns.

However we have a partnership with Sprintax offering a nonresident tax filing solution to our TurboTax customers.

Visit the TurboTax/Sprintax site for more info or to get started.

Also, your SS benefits may be treaty exempt.  Check with Sprintax.

Where do i enter SSA-1042S benefit?

The SSA-1042S is issued to nonresident aliens who received Social Security benefits. Because it's a nonresident form, the answer depends on your residency status.

If you are a nonresident alien, then you will need to file Form 1040-NR. TurboTax does not support nonresident returns. However, Intuit has a partnership with Sprintax, which handles 1040-NR filings. Note that your Social Security benefits may also be treaty-exempt depending on your country of residence; Sprintax can help you determine that.

If you are a U.S. resident or citizen (and received the SSA-1042S because taxes were withheld at the nonresident rate), you would report the benefits as you would Social Security income — in TurboTax, go to Federal → Wages & Income → Retirement Plans and Social Security → Social Security (SSA-1099, RRB-1099). Enter the gross benefit amount and any federal tax withheld from the form.
