If you entered a 1099-R and all or part of it was RMD, indicate that in TurboTax. When asked what amount was RMD, enter an amount that is the same or less than the distribution amount (not more), on your 1099-R, even if it was an Inherited IRA account. Be sure the IRA box is checked on your entry, and that the birthdate is correct in the Personal Info section.
If you have more than one 1099-R, do the same for all of them. As long as you met the Required RMD for the year, it doesn't matter that some was taken from various accounts to meet the requirement.
You can try Deleting the 1099-R entry and re-entering it. If you're using TurboTax Online, close the program, clear your Cache and Cookies and return to your 1099-R entry.
