When I asked my employer when I would get my 1099 form he stated he is "tax exempt". What does that mean for me?

When I asked my employer when I would get my 1099 form he stated he is "tax exempt". What does that mean for me?

It means he does not, or will not issue you anything.

If the amount is below $600 he is not required to.

Regardless if you get a 1099 or not, it is still taxable income.

If you think you are an actual employee versus indedependent contractor then see below:

See link below and you could file an SS8 with IRS (your boss will not be happy however)
