certainly can be used to complete both a federal and state tax return (if applicable) with the items of income you specify. It is also the least expensive (paid) version of the TurboTax software that we offer.
The Deluxe program will easily handle Social Security income, itemized deductions related to home ownership (e.g. property taxes, mortgage interest), as well as all types of retirement and pension income (Required Minimum Distributions, and otherwise).
TurboTax Deluxe is, in fact, our most
popular TurboTax offering (by volume). It comes in a desktop version as well, that you would need to install on your own personal computer, either through a CD-ROM disc or an internet download file. TurboTax Deluxe online, by contrast, is an entirely internet-based program that runs over our website. For that, you only need to be able to connect to the internet, as nothing needs to be installed separately on your computer.
