softeware has fed withheld amount of $0.; however, w-2 has box 2. $816.90. How can this be corrected in the software?

Edit the W-2 that you entered. Or delete the W-2 and re-enter manually.

You can follow these steps to review your W-2 entry and make corrections:

Choose the Federal option on your left menu bar
Choose Wages & Income
Find the Wages and Salaries option in the list and click on the Update option to make corrections
