I've seen a couple of posts that suggest that the problem was only occurring on the 1040SR form right now, and not on the plain 1040 form.
Since you are on Desktop software, you can change to the plain 1040and see if that works. (not sure what the "Online" folks could do)
1) Switch to Forms Mode
2) Open the "Info Wks"
3) In Part II, just above the Filing Status box look for the line "Print Form 1040SR instead of Form 1040"
4) in the boxes to the right of that click in the "No" box

I have no idea if that really works or not....and if you really want to use the form 1040SR instead....then you'd have to wait until they actually fix the software. Software updates usually occur late on Wed evenings, so should be available for you to run your software update on Thursday.
Thanks for the info. I waited for the Wednesday night update (16 February) and that corrected the problem. I'll wait another week to ensure that there are no more updates which could impact my return.
