Turbo tax showed I paid more in federal income tax than my 1099 did. Their form shows this is auto calculated. What do I do to correct it?

You can first look at your return:

1. Go to Tax Tools on the left-hand side.

2. Go to Tools.

3. Go to View Tax Summary.

4. Click Preview my 1040 from the left-hand side.

Second, look at all the entries. You may have received some credits, depending on your tax situation.
