Turbo tax is now showing that distributions from a trust are taxable, why?

Prior to 2017, I never had a problem filing my trust return.

This year, turbo tax is treating distributions from the Trust as income.

The trust itself had no income.

I tried to manually edit but had a difficult time doing so and have now received a letter from the IRS...

I hope that TurboTax can correct this issue.

If you have already received correspondence from the IRS, I suggest that you contact Customer Support (link below).

Generally, however, if the distributions actually flow through to the K-1(s) in the program, the trust should receive a deduction in the amount of the distributions (not to exceed DNI).
