Took COVID 401K withdrawal in 2020 for which I received a 1099R. Will receive a 2021 1099R. How do I file on the distribution if I opted to pat taxes over three years?

Sorry question should have read as follows. Took COVID 401K withdrawal in 2020 for which I received a 1099R. Will I receive a 2021 1099R? How do I file on the distribution if I opted to pay taxes over three years?

There is a form on which this will be reported, Form 8915-F.  (Last year you used Form 8915-E).  You will not receive a 1099-R for 2021 for your election, because that entire income was reported in 2020 already.  The election from Form 8915-E carries over in the IRS database, and you will be expected to file the new form this year, which has yet to be released by the IRS.  For more information, see the following Help Article:  What is Form 8915-F Qualified 2021 Disaster Retirement ...

you have to wait for more TurboTax updates, and then you will be able to enter your amounts i.e. one third. It's possible TurboTax will enter one third for you if you imported your 2020 tax return, but don't count on it.
