I am a 1099 consultant and my wife a W-2 employee. I am using TurboTax home/business. How do I get past the W-2 screens for me and just enter that info for my wife?

To enter your spouse's W-2, here are the steps to guide you through.

  1. Click on Personal tab
  2. Click on Personal Income
  3. Select I'll choose what I work on
  4. Select the box Update or Start right of Wages and Salaries
  5. At the Here's your W-2 info page, click on the box below with your wife's first name Add W-2 for..... (see attached screenshot page file)

The process will ask questions as you are going through each interview page
