The software asks if I took a RMD on my RRB1099R because I'm over 70 1/2. Is a RMD required for RRB1099R?

Yes, essentially all forms of pensions require an RMD, but, in the case of pensions , the administrator takes care of issuing the correct amount, so just say Yes, and that it's all an RMD.
