The fact that it is an RMD will not show on your return. If you answered the questions correctly, and indicated that it was an RMD, the program will record it.

The fact that it is an RMD will not show on your return. If you answered the questions correctly, and indicated that it was an RMD, the program will record it.

The taxable amount of your RMD (usually the entire gross amount shown in box 1 of the Form 1099-R that you entered) should be included on line 11b or line 12b of Form 1040A, depending on the type of account from which you took the RMD.  If it's there, it's reported as required.
