All I have is a qualified employer pension and social security. Why is my social security being taxed? All other blogs indicate that it should not be taxed. Pension @ $39,400 and SS @ $22,264.

This information is from the IRS Social Security page.
Part of your Social Security income is taxed if your other income plus half of your Social Security is more than $25,000 ($32,000 if you are married filing jointly). Half of your Social Security is $11,132. That plus your other income of $39,400 is $50,532, which is more than $25,000 or $32,000. So some of your Social Security will be taxed.
I can't comment on what "other blogs" say without seeing them. They could be wrong, or you could have misunderstood what they said.
