Signing joint tax return

I am in the states but my husband is out of the country on the date of our tax return appointment. How does it work regarding his signature because he won't physically be there? What are the options?

If you e-file your tax return, it is "signed" electronically when you enter your 2023 AGI. There is no physical signature on an e-filed return.
