RMD on Turbo Tax

On Turbo Tax---On Line Premier Edition, if you complete the section on RMDS and submit your 1099R,does that demonstrated that you have taken your required RMD? Or is there something else you must also do to satisfy the IRS? I'm a little unclear on this issue.

All you do is enter the 1099-Rs correctly and answer the follow up questions ... nothing more is needed. The IRS knows how much you had to take out and they will know if you did not take out enough.
