Then scroll way down to Retirement Plans and Social Security
Then IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R) – Click Start
Don't type the bank name or try to import it.
At the bottom pick - Change How I enter my Form
Then on the next screen pick - I'll Type it in Myself

I am going to assume he passed prior to this tax return year, meaning the code in Box 7 is a "4" on the FOrm 1099-R.
if the pension is less than $14,700 (2022), there would be no requirement to file as you state that is your only non-SS income.
