Do i file for extension ? if i have 2 dependent and a 3 rd dependent 11months old (my grandchild)but delayed birth certificate waiting possibly 4 months to get it so no SSN , so do i file now with 2 dep and then amended return later when we get social for 11month old , fyi we really need the refund money and can’t afford to lose out on any refund money ? Will i get full refund if i file now with 2, then get rest of tefund when i file amended return in 4-6 months

Yes, if you don't expect to get the Social Security number for your third dependent before April 18, you can go ahead and file with the other two and then amend your return later. 

You also have the option to file an extension, wait for the information and just file one return with all three dependents. 

One thing you should know, even though you can e-file an amended return now, it still takes a long time for them to process it and issue a refund, typically at least 12 weeks. Click here to learn more about amending your return.
