March 4th has come and gone and STILL can not finish filing my taxes! This is so unfair. I REEEEEAAAALLLY NEED this refund. 😠

I just tried again this morning too, and still same state (Michigan) error. I don't know if it's a state issue or TurboTax issue though. Can't hurt for everyone to report the error though so hopefully we can get this resolved soon.  Tax filing is due in a little over a month, yet it's not fixed yet. That's really unacceptable.

I am having the same issue and I was just told today,in the chat,  that the projected fix date is 3/25!

3/25? Man, that sucks. I really needed this money before the end of the month. I guess I at least hope the stimulus checks come through to tide me over.

This is ridiculous! They keep pushing the date back while we are all dead in the water... what really makes me mad is that this error doesn't show up until after you have paid and try to file... that's unacceptable.

Right ?!? I've been using TurboTax for years....After this I'm done..... not only did they take my money then tell me I couldn't file yet.... they changed the cost from $80 to $110 while I waited for them to update !!!!!!

Before giving “expert” advice, you should really make sure that the advice given is accurate, because your “solution” does not work. It’d be great if it DID work, because I guarantee that for 99.9% of the people complaining about this not being fixed, DON’T EVEN NEED THIS FORM OR WORKSHEET!  Seriously, this is ridiculous! It has to be one of the EASIEST TAX FORMS TO FILL OUT and it’s taking your team WEEKS?!?! Unacceptable. Will never use TurboTax again after this year.

You CAN file your federal return. If that helps anybody out.....I was stuck in the seemingly never ending loop as well, but, if you go back to the very first page where it asks you to e-file, instead click on file by mail or paper (not eFile). Then, drop down boxes for Federal and State show up. Select e-file for Federal, and not ready to file for State.

No problem. It’s pretty sad that the “experts” haven’t recommended that at minimum....as I’ve said, I won’t be using TurboTax again. Not even because of this issue, but for the simple fact that the “experts” responding to these posts don’t even give any actual good advice

I don't think I would do that... I thought about it but I think it will change the state return.  I guess you could delete it and see what happens...hmmm

How would it change your state outcome? The state forms are pulled from your federal forms, regardless of whether you’ve file your federal taxes or not. It’s the same difference as whether you’ve file your federal taxes or not.....again, don’t give advice that doesn’t make sense. The advice I gave was due to an extended conversation with someone that actually knew what they were talking about. Literally, this is the workaround to file FEDERAL but not state (which will still pull from your state return)
