This is a question for your traditional IRA custodian. They are the ones who determine whether or not they will accept the contribution as a contribution for the prior year.
typically your check must arrive on a business day before tax day.
preferably more than one business day.
postmark date does not count.
you should file form 4868 and wait.
if it goes to the wrong year, you would have to amend your filed 2022 tax return.
