I made wages of $12,210 in 2019. I want to make a contribution of $6,105 to my spouse's IRA and $6,105 to my IRA which is under the $7,000 limit for our age (65) and does not exceed our earned income. Turbo Tax Premier will not let me do more than $5,210 in spousal IRA. It defaults my contribution to $7,000 and spousal contribution to $5,210. It will not accept any amount over $5,210 for spouse even if I reduce mine below $7,000. I thought we were allowed to do any contribution amounts up to the limits.

You are allowed to contribute up to the amount of your earned income.
Why it is dividing the contributions with yours higher than your wife's I have not been able to replicate.
You may need to connect with a live agent so they can see what is happening in your return.
Thanks. I was able to do equal IRA contributions on the next interview screen. The interview screen that caused the problem was doing the calculation (estimate) of how much tax savings we would have doing an IRA contribution. Once I went past that screen question it did allow the equal contribution.
