I withdrew Roth IRA money which was my principal payments that were already taxed. I withheld 10% thinking I could get it back when I did my taxes. How do I do this ?

I am 52 years old and withdrew Roth IRA principal.  At the time TDAmeritrade recommended to withhold 10% so I did.  I should be able to get this money back.. Is this correct ?

Yes, if you had the account open for five years, you can make a qualified distribution that is tax free- so your withholding should be refunded with your tax return.
