I receive SSDI, I also have dependent children. My turbotax stimulus registration was accepted on 4/5/20. Why did I only receive $1200?

My children are under !7 and no one else has or can claim them.

suggest waiting a few weeks for the letter from the IRS explaining what they did.   

when did you receive the $1200? 

did you also file a tax return in 2018 or 2019?????

Thank you for your response. I received $1200 this morning. I did not file for 2018 or 2019 because my income was too low. I used the TurboTax Stimulus Registration tool, as I was advised to do. They use the submitted information to file a 1040. The 1040 was accepted on 4/5/2020. My children are under 17 and no one else has or can claim them.

@stimulus7 - then best to wait for the IRS letter that will arrive within 15 days and hopefully it will explain what to do if you disagree with the payment.
