I inherited a Traditional IRA last year. I am 62 years old and I made a distribution of a portion of these funds. How do I record that without a 1099R?

My understanding is this income get recorded on Line 4 of my 1040 --- however, how do I enter this into TurboTax to get it reported correctly?

To report it correctly you need a Form 1099-R.  Have you rolled the IRA that you were the beneficiary of to an "Inherited IRA"?  If so, did you take the distribution before or after you rolled the IRA into an Inherited IRA?  If the later, you should have received a Form 1099-R.  You should contact the IRA administrator to obtain a copy.  If it was the former, you should contact the IRA administrator about correcting the disbursement.

The IRA custodian is required to report on Form 1099-R any distribution paid to you from the inherited IRA.  If you received such a distribution in 2024, contact the IRA custodian to obtain the missing 2024 Form 1099-R.

My understanding was that my financial institution did not issue a 1099R because there was no minimum RMD required.  How do I report it in TurboTax without a 1099R?
