I am married, and my wife does not work. We opened a spousal Roth IRA for her, and a regular Roth IRA for me. I contribute to both accounts. How do I declare this?

Do I put that I myself contributed 12k in 2020? When I put that, it says I over-contributed.

IRA means Individual.  You enter the amount you entered for your IRA under your name and then you enter the amount you entered for your spouse's IRA under their name.  Assuming that you are filing jointly.

To enter a IRA contribution -

Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Deductions and Credits
Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
Scroll down to Retirement and Investments
On Traditional and Roth IRA Contributions, click the start or update button

Or enter ira contributions in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to ira contributions
