How do I input the income when program does not go forward ??Under "Your Income-Edit" will not allow me to enter SSA-1099 info, the screen returns to the Your Income page

Program seems to have a problem. When I answer "YES" to having SSA-1099 income it does not progress thru asking for the amounts.

If you are experiencing technical difficulties, close out of the program and re-open it. When using TurboTax Online, use a Chrome web browser. To check for updates in TurboTax CD/Download, click on Online in the upper row menu and Check for Updates.

It should allow you to advance. Follow these steps:

• In the Wages & Income tab, scroll down and select Retirement Plans and Social Security and Show More.
• Go to Social Security (SSA-1099, RRB-1099) and select Start/Revisit.
• At Did you receive Social Security or Railroad Retirement benefits in 2020? answer Yes
• Check the Box at the next screen, Tell us about the benefits you received. See the screenshot below for what that screen will look like in TurboTax Online.

I am having the same issue. It is not allowing me to input the figures on the SSA-1099 screen. I shut the program down and reopened and it did not help. Please advise on how I get the information input.

Tried every suggsted way to input SSA-1099 and none of them work.  TT seemingly wants it to be more difficult each year.  Try H&R Block next year.

Here's how to get to the Social Security input:

1. Type ssa-1099 in Search in the upper right
2. Select Jump to ssa-1099
3. Say YES to Did you receive Social Security or Railroad Retirement benefits in 2021?
4. Check the box Social Security benefits on the screen "Tell us about the benefits you received"
5. Enter your information as it appears on your Form SSA-1099.
