If the address on the form 1099R is incorrect you can leave it as is. The address (i.e. your old address) on Form 1099-R has no effect on your tax return and does not have to match your current address.
If you entered the wrong information you can make the changes if you didn't file your return.:
When I first completed my taxes, I entered the incorrect Payer address from my 1099-R form. I then went back, deleted the entire 1099-R form and reentered the information correctly. However, at the Review stage, the first incorrect Payer address is still showing up and the zip code is causing an error.
I followed the instructions provided, and the correct Payer address is showing. However, when I try to eFile I'm still getting an error message that the incorrect zip is entered and I can see the entire address is still wrong in this view.
Please let me know how to resolve the error message.
