Gold coins NC Use Tax

I bought gold coins from a different state and did not pay North Carolina sales tax.  I keep them here in NC.  Do they count as something I need to report for NC Use Tax?

Gold coins NC Use Tax

No.  Gold is not subject to sales tax in NC, so you would not need to pay sales and use tax on it.
