No. A box 7 distribution code is REQUIRED. There is no way to know how to treat the income without the code. Look closely at the form - some times it is easy to confuse code "7" with the box number "7" if the code was printed slightly outside the box.
Contact the issuer for a corrected 1099-R.
You were right the7 is on top of the line 7. Thanks this is a first for me with retirement. I couldn't get it to import like I did my W2 hope his gets me to the next step . Thanks

You cannot import unless the payer has applied to be a TurboTax partner.
