In the "Check this Entry" section you ask for information on a 1099 R (untitled) but do not tell me which 1099 you are looking at ?

The "check the entry" section you show the 1099 item, but do not identify who

the payee is.  I need the payee to fill in the missing info

Please return to your 1099 entries and delete (or complete) the 1099-R marked Untitled.  To do this,

  • In your open Federal return, choose Wages & Income
  • Scroll down to Retirement  and Social Security and Show more
  • Choose IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R) and Start/Revisit
  • On the next page Your 1099-R Entries you can add, edit (change) or delete forms.  Untitled is usually an unnecessary form that got started but was not used and can be deleted.  Check to make sure all your actual 1099-R's are entered.
