On Filing Extension form it won’t accept today’s date for the box “Pay on this date”. What should I do?

It has a message below the box that says “Cannot be before today”.

If you’re having trouble paying your federal taxes with direct debit on 04/15/19, and seeing the error message “the payment date cannot be after 04/15/19”, there are a few other options for you.

Change the date on your computer to 04/14/2019

1. Go to the time and date settings on your computer.
2. Change the date to 04/14/2019.
3. Apply and save the changes.
4. Refresh TurboTax.
5. Complete filing with the new payment date.
6. Once you’re done, you can change the date back on your computer.

Pay the IRS directly 

Go to IRS Direct Pay to pay via direct debit (it's free). Or check out their other online payment options at IRS.gov/payments.

Mail a check

You can always send a check directly to the IRS to pay your taxes.
