Social Security does not count toward that $4400 income limit. If she has any OTHER income, that income counts. Paying for over half her support is important. She may be a qualifying relative dependent for you. If she fits the criteria you get the $500 credit for other dependents.
WHO CAN I CLAIM AS A DEPENDENT?
You can claim a child, relative, friend, or fiancé (etc.) as a dependent on your 2022 taxes as long as they meet the following requirements:
Qualifying child
Qualifying relative
