MA Income and Deductions Summary shows a $2000 retirement payment that i did not make
MA allows a limited deduction for your contribution to Social
Security, Medicare, railroad retirement, or a US or MA government
retirement plan.
For example, SS
and Medicare tax reported on your W-2 would be automatically applied to
this deduction. Look at your W-2. If Social Security and Medicare taxes
were withheld (boxes 4 and 6), you have contributed to a "retirement
plan".
