Looking to add in my T2202 information but can't find the field in TurboTax. It is also not appearing in the search box for forms and topics. Any idea where it is found?

If you attended a Canadian school and need to report it on your U.S tax return,  you will enter the information from your Canadian tax document in the 1098-T section of TurboTax.  You need to convert the expenses to US dollars.

  1. Select Federal
  2. Go to Deductions and Credits.
  3. Scroll down to Education.
  4. Click start next to Expenses and Scholarships (Form 1098-T)
  5. Answer the questions and continue.
  6. Answer No on the Did you get a 1098-T for the year 2024?
  7. Check the I qualify for an exception box on the OK, let's see if you qualify for an exception page

To qualify for he credit, your school should be considered An eligible educational institution.

An eligible educational institution is a school offering higher education beyond high school. It is any college, university, trade school, or other post secondary educational institution eligible to participate in a student aid program run by the U.S. Department of Education.

You can use this IRS link to check if your University is an eligible educational institution.
