You should enter into TurboTax whatever forms you have: 1099-MISC, 1099-R, SSA-1099, whatever.

Note that you might not have to file a return if your income is less than $12,200 (filing as Single) , $18,350 (filing as Head of Household), or $24,400 (filing as married joint). Note that these number rise somewhat if one or both of you are 65 or older.

However, if one or more of these 1099s is a 1099-MISC with an entry in box 7, then you have self-employment income. In this case, you must file if you have more than $400 in self-employment income.

In any case, the thing to do is to start with the Free Edition of Turbotax, and enter what you have and let TurboTax guide you as to whether you have to file a return or not.
