I want to simply view my charity entries after I have files my returned. Can I do that? If so, how?

Your charitable contributions would become a part of your return ONLY if you itemized your deductions on Schedule A.  In other words, if you didn't have enough total deductions to itemize on Schedule A, your entries won't become a part of your return.

So IF you itemized on Schedule A, you'll find that schedule in the PDF of your return.  If no Schedule A was generated, you'll have to rely on your own records to review your charitable contributions for the year.

EDITED TO ADD:  If you need to download/print a copy of your 2020 return you filed using TurboTax Online, see the instructions I'm linking below.

How do I get a copy of a return I filed this year in TurboTax Online?

Thank you, Kat, for the feedback. I apologize for not being more transparent. Yes, indeed, I did itemize, as it saved me considerable taxation. And, yes, I know of the Schedule A and its existence in the contents of the pdf. My interest lies a bit deeper. When I entered data into Turbo Tax as input for the generation of Schedule A, I had to enter details; that is, organization names and amounts for my charitable contributions. In older versions of Turbo Tax, these details were preserved and included as corroborating data within the pdf file. Even though I have my own receipts and records, I would like to be able to reconcile what I entered to Turbo Tax with my own receipts. This is just for my **bleep** peace of mind, as I like to make sure I entered the data correctly. Since I entered the detailed data, I assume it must exist somewhere; else, what is the point of the exercise? This is the detail I seek.

I understand completely.

You should have a page within your PDF titled "Charitable Contributions Summary".  In order to access the form, you'll need to view ALL of your forms and worksheets.  You'll find this form following Schedule A.  Actually, there will be an individual worksheet for each of your charitable organizations....then you'll see the Summary page I'm referring to.  Go through the Print Center, unless you've downloaded your entire return, including all forms and worksheets.

Please post back if you are unable to find the info you're looking for.  We'll find it!

I'm sorry. I am still Hansel without Gretel or bread crumbs, lost in the cyber world of Turbulent Documentation. I must have done something incorrectly, for I do not see any such details in the download of my 2020 Tax Return PDF file. Of course, when I download my 2019 Tax Return PDF, I see all the details for that tax year. In fact, I see many details of the intermediate work. My 2019 document is 200 pages long. However, my 2020 tax document is considerably more brief, being only 20 pages. This is the point at which I find myself helpless  and short of breath.

@scoutthroop Thanks for your cute analogies!  😉

I don't use the Online platform, so I'm afraid I'd misdirect you.  But you "should" be able to log back into your TurboTax account (obviously, the account where your 2020 return is), and go back to the Print Center.  From there, you should be able to elect to view/print your ENTIRE return, including schedule and worksheets.  I believe you'll find the more extensive return there.  What you downloaded was likely only what was sent to the IRS.

Please post back if no luck.  I'll ask one of of my co-Champs to help you.

I think we are down to the crux of the problem. I login and choose "Download/print return". I get no subsequent choice. A PDF file is immediately downloaded. However, it is (again) only the 20 page document with no further details. Note: When I switch to 2019 as the year, the download produces the full 200 pages for 2019. It seems that something has gummed up the works for 2020. I have been using TurboTax for years and this is the first time I have encountered this issue.

@scoutthroop I'm so sorry.  I don't know why you wouldn't be able to view/print the entire return.  Let me see if I can get someone else to help you out.
