Hello. I took an early withdrawal from my 401K in 2017 for Hurricane Irma and chose to spread the tax over 3 years. How do I add that in without a new 1099R for 2018?

Go to the Form 1099-R entry section and indicate that you did not receive any 2018 Forms 1099-R. TurboTax will then ask if you received any disaster distributions where you'll indicate that you received a 2017 qualified disaster distribution.  TurboTax will then prompt you for the information needed to prepare 2018 Form 8915B.  You'll do the same for your 2019 tax return next year.

So I have this same situation but am only asked about 2016 and form 8915A, I do not get a question about 2017 and form 8915B.  Has that not been added yet?

I went ahead and entered my 1099 like last year but it only takes me so far and gives me a message that the forms are not ready yet.

I think that something changed with the latest update to TurboTax that makes the reporting on Form 8915B presently nonfunctional.  It sounds like they are in the process of reworking it.
