If you receive a 1099-MISC, you would need to report under that section. You can use your name and your home address as your business address.
To enter 1099-MISC
information in TurboTax, log into your tax return (for TurboTax Online sign-in,
click Here and click on "Take
me to my return") type "1099misc"
in the search bar then select "jump to
1099misc". TurboTax will guide you in entering this information.
If not reported on 1099-MISC, you can report this as other miscellaneous income and
it will be reported on line 21 of your 1040.
Once you have signed into your TurboTax Account (for
TurboTax Online sign-in, click Here), select "Take Me To My Return"
To enter
your other income as other miscellaneous income:
- Click
on the “Federal Taxes” tab
- Next click on “Wages and
Income”
- Next click on "jump to
full list" or “I’ll choose what I work on (see more income)
- Scroll down the screen until
to come to the section “Less Common Income”
- Choose "show more",
then Miscellaneous Income
- Choose "Other Reportable
Income" and enter this information here under other taxable
income. (You can title it "Insurance residual income".)
Any
miscellaneous income will be reported on line 21 on your 1040.
