If you receive a 1099-MISC, you would need to report under that section. You can use your name and your home address as your business address.

To enter 1099-MISC information in TurboTax, log into your tax return (for TurboTax Online sign-in, click Here and click on "Take me to my return") type "1099misc" in the search bar then select "jump to 1099misc". TurboTax will guide you in entering this information.

If not reported on 1099-MISC, you can report this as other miscellaneous income and it will be reported on line 21 of your 1040.

Once you have signed into your TurboTax Account (for TurboTax Online sign-in, click Here), select "Take Me To My Return"

To enter your other income as other miscellaneous income:

  1. Click on the “Federal Taxes” tab
  2. Next click on “Wages and Income”
  3. Next click on "jump to full list" or “I’ll choose what I work on (see more income)
  4. Scroll down the screen until to come to the section “Less Common Income”
  5. Choose "show more", then Miscellaneous Income
  6. Choose "Other Reportable Income" and enter this information here under other taxable income. (You can title it "Insurance residual income".)

Any miscellaneous income will be reported on line 21 on your 1040.
