I received no actual funds on a 401K r/o into IRA when I retired. In PA, retirement inc is not taxed. Why is TT telling me I owe state taxes when I rec'd no money? Thx!
Total pension payout for 2018 was $9063.90; federal taxes were paid on this, but not state taxes because PA doesn't tax retirement income. Why is TurboTax showing I owe $286 in taxes for this? Please help. Thank you!

While completing the PA state interview, you were asked what type of income was represented by each 1099R. The answer to this question determines if that in, come is taxable by PA. If your 1099R , box 7, is coded "7", it is not taxable, select "I qualify, plan qualify" to make that income not taxable.
