I received a w-2 from a company I never worked for. the w 2 has my correct social security number and. address .What can I do to protect myself?

Are you sure you did not work for them? Sometimes the local employer that you work for is owned by a larger corporation and the W-2 is issued by them. Call your employer and ask them.
